Business in the Front, Party in the Back
So today has been pretty interesting so far today. It seems, however, that we’ve spent almost our entire day with people under 5 feet tall. It all started with the soccer games of our niece and nephew, and then on to the 1st birthday party of our friends’ daughter. So, all in all, it was a day that was centered on giving us a view into the future of what it will be like once our first child is born: birthday parties, soccer games, and mullets. What?!? Did he say “mullets?”
Yes. Much to my enjoyment, one of the kids on the team playing against my nephew had the most amazing mullet in the world. And yes, thanks to my handy-dandy iPhone, here is a picture:
I know, I know, he’s only about 8, so it’s not like he really has a choice, but honestly, what parent would do this to a child? It’s quite comical, but it won’t be once he becomes interested in things like dating and going out in public. Poor kid. Anyway.
Oh, by the way, here’s a newer picture of Rachel’s belly. It’s getting a tad bit bigger and is very exciting:
Isn’t she gorgeous? Wow, to think that we’re pretty much half way there. So exciting. In December (I believe the 5th), we’ll be getting another sonogram to find out whether it’s a boy or a girl. Sometimes I’m convinced it’s a boy, other times, I’m convinced it’s a girl, but I’m gonna be pretty much ecstatic either way. Well, I guess that’s all for now. Signing Out.

That boy must have been working on his mullet for his entire life.

Hi. Found you through the NaBloPoMo randomizer… wonderful news about the baby, I’m halfway through my pregnancy as well, but I was MUCH larger than the picture posted at about 12 weeks! Sigh.

Just visiting from the Nablopo randomizer…
Congrats on the baby. We have an 8 month old-never a dull moment!
Love the mullet picture. I remember when I lived in Portland OR, the hispanics were really into mullets.
Also, loved the VBS Adult Film Festival sign. Surely you could send that in somewhere and get $$ for it. I laughed so hard.
Cheers,
Rebecca

haha that mullet is great. Might as well enjoy it before he realizes what jerks his parents are for allowing him to submit himself to public embarrassment.
Your wife is absolutely beautiful
Congrats to both of you!!

I know! I once thought about sending it to Jay Leno’s “Headlines,” but I never actually got around to it. Maybe I should…
Thanks for the comment!

Wow, I feel for that child with the mullet. It is amazing what hair styles parents will give their kids. I have seen 2 year olds with mohawks. It is just awful. But I guess that is a right of a parent. We have earned the right to embarrass our kids as our parets did to us. Congrats on the baby. Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing. Your wife looks gorgeous and has the pregnancy glow. Thanks for visiting me too.

It’s remarkable how beautiful women are when they are pregnant. You’re a lucky man!
That poor mulleted kid? Not so much.
(I mean lucky… I’m not so low as to call his un-beautiful)
